The inspiration for this collection and brand came from my desire to honour my fashion and textiles in college who passed away in April 2023. She was a huge encouragement and influence on my fashion journey so I feel like I really owe it to her. The picture on the right is her on her wedding day.
For the development of my concept, Lovegrove, I focused on life and death and the beauty in nature in relation to grief and growth.
Nature has taught me that flowers, though they must wither and die, eventually bloom again, even more vibrant than before. This concept mirrors the human experience - the way we go through loss and transformation, only to emerge stranger and more beautiful.
